I became aware of Los Californianos while talking with the docents at the Presidio de San Francisco. They told me
about the yearly Anza Commemoration presented by Los Californianos. I always knew I was a 7th generation Bay area native and had just discovered that I had 16 grandparents who came here in 1775-1776 with the Anza expedition. Joining Los Californianos was a no brainer. Before long, I joined the Board of Directors, became Chairman of the Archives and Chairman of the Traveling Genealogy Library. I arranged for their relocation to a more secure and less costly site.
